I don’t know if it’s the same where you are, but the only people here who use the word “homosexual” to describe gay people are anti-gay fundamentalists. It’s a more clinical sounding term, which is helpful to them in that it alienates and dehumanizes the people whom they persecute. Being homosexual sounds a lot less enjoyable than being gay.
